Disappearing Tweets

I'm currently missing 12 hours or so of tweets off my homepage, but they're on the individual users' pages.

I haven't had any updates for the past 15 hours show up on my page, however when I go to the individual pages of the folks I'm following, I can see their updates. Weird.

When something is posted, it initially appears in timeline and currently, but on page reload it disappears from time. It remains in the "currently" section (and thus in widgets as well) until a new tweet is posted.

Yeah bums me out too. All of mine are not showing up and i have no idea why. I get notifications that they are happening but i got to my page and they are not

I had them for a while and then they disappeared. It's getting really annoying that twitter can't get its act together...again.

Same problem. New ones would show up for a while after I posted a new tweet but they disappeared an hour or two later.

It's odd that http://status.twitter.com/ (as of this morning, EDT) has no updates on this; I doubt that the S3 outage is to blame here.

I have noticed that if I look at my feed alone, (twitter.com/inhll) I see all my posts, but if I look at my combined feed (twitter.com) I do not see my post which was made and which says:

I'm tired of losing my tweets... First the images were down all morning, now this. It's like Twitter keeps restoring from a 20hour old database backup. Someone shoot me a note when it's all fixed.

Glad its not just me. Thought i was going crazy. I just joined and then this started happeneing. I can see a few of mine i've made today, but mostly its everything 20+ hours old, and none of my friends, unless i go to their page.

Same issues here are everyone else. I was getting them on my phone last night, but they aren't on my homepage

I'm having the same problems for about the same amount of time now. I am missing my own tweets as well as those I follow on my home page. My profile page lists all my own tweets accurately, though.

I think it has to do with the maintenance that was done at 10am pacific time on Sat. July 19. After that is when my trouble started.

Same here, have a 21 hour gap in displayed tweets. Right now I can see my tweets I just did, but I could last night too, then when I got back on even those were gone. I can see replies in the reply list and check out individuals pages to see what they've been saying but nothing on my main stream page for the last 21 hours!

Much the same here. tweets from more than about 22 hours ago show up fine. More recent tweets may or may not hang around. Mostly not.

I almost wonder if there's a problem with the database farm not keeping itself in sync.

Mine is doing the same thing, and I can't believe there's nothing about it on the status page! I got ONE tweet to show up this morning, but nothing else newer than 22hrs -- and who knows how long before THAT tweet disappears?!

I've been having this problem for over 48 hours now and only noticed because suddenly my messages would be gone and I would only see the people I'm watching, though sometimes THEIR messages would go too... this is getting to be ridiculous, especially if we take into account that the message count still shows them as all being there when they're not!

I get one tweet from the last 12 hours, but lose everything else. The one that stays seems to vary.

Big lag time - all thought the current and full list shows up on Friendfeed and my blog widget - ???

Same thing here. All my tweets from late last night and earlier today have disappeared. Any official word on this or whether we'll get them back?

At first my missing tweets were still visible on my home page, but nowhere else. Now they're gone from THERE, too. In total, I'm missing sixteen tweets, about twenty hours' worth. In addition, my most recent tweet is still visible under "Currently," and the "Updates" stat still reads 22. So I'm guessing they're all still in the database, but one or more of the tools Twitter uses to access them has broken down.

(I can still see the past twenty hours of updates from the people I'm following, so it's not universal.)

Started over Sunday for me

My updates aren't showing up on my page and the updates of those I'm following don't appear. I can go to their individual pages and see their updates, but that's the only way. What's up people?

...yeah, my profile, recent and archive page keeps changing. Sometimes, it'll have some of my tweets listed under the most recent, but then it changes. All of my tweets from yesterday are now gone again for some reason. The only one that stays on the profile page is the last one I made. I hope this is fixed soon!

I sent some tweets from my phone this morning and they have not appeared on the website.

I just started noticing this today even though I don't have very many tweets. My most recent one (yesterday afternoon) disappeared as soon as I made a new one after that (this morning).

Annnnd I got to school, refreshed my page, and the few twitter posts I'd made and received in the past couple hours again got eaten. Back to the one posted (now) 23 hours ago! C'mon Twitter, fix this please!

Well, all my disappeared Tweets from yesterday are back, but now when I try to send a new Tweet, it just disappears into the ether. Gotta love it.

My problems aren't really with my followers' tweets - just my own. :(

It seems that everything has gone back to normal now. Woo!

I'm getting all the new ones now, but I STILL have a huge gap from yesterday morning through this morning....

I've been receiving tweets but every time i tweet none of my friends get it for hours if at all.

About 5o tweets are gone.

In my case, there is one particular tweet that has disappeared. It shows up on Social Collider, but when I try to go to that post, it says the page does not exist.
