Inappropriate? There is a satisfactory explanation from Twitter in this parallel topic:

I’m finding GetSatisfaction even more interesting than Twitter.

hahahaha, you call that excuse "satisfactory"?? I call it an excuse / poor programming / poor network management when the twitter team does not know how to keep third party apps from bringing down the entire service. I do NOT call it a "satisfactory explanation". -
Inappropriate? And I suppose YOU do, Robert? Man, maybe they should hire you and all these issues will be history! Remember, you get what you PAY for.
I’m frustrated by people like Robert

Mike,
Mike,
You really have no clue. But thanks for playing anyway. :) -
Oh, I'm not 'playing', but it seems you are. When you can BE a smart person, we'll accept your comments at face value. In the meantime, stay out of that Tempe sun, it'll bake your brain. -
For a company that in the past raised over 5 million in funding and just raised another 15 million it's a sad state when their poorly written API alows third party apps / services bring their service down. Limiting access to your infrastructure via an API and Network routing is NOT a hard thing to do. Fact is, the API needs a re-write, have you even looked at it? I have and it needs some major work to keep this from happening again. So Mikey, was this a smart enough comment for you? -
Why didn't you say all this up front? And why do you suppose you saw all this and the engineers didn't? Are you suggesting that you are smarter than they are? If so, then the world IS doomed without Robdicks (since you've escalated to name-bashing) expertise.
Everything in perspective, Robby. Instead of bashing, which you're quite bad at, maybe an offer to help? -
#1 I didn't post all of this up front because anyone with any tech knowledge already knows it (including the Twitter staff). ----- #2 See answer #1 ----- #3 I am very happy at my current position and the communities offer to help in the past has been ignored by the Twitter staff. ---- #4 Thanks for playing (again). -
Mike, on another note. If I didn't love Twitter I would not bother complaining, I'd just leave for another service. But I DO care and that is what makes the terrible service so frustrating. -
Now THERE is a comment I can relate to. The snarky "Thanks for playing" comments aside, I can FINALLY see your perspective. And it makes sense. It would have saved all this negative energy if explained up front. Thanks for expanding on your frustration. -
Inappropriate? There's an update on the Twitter blog: http://blog.twitter.com/2008/05/too-m...
