Email Notifications for New Followers & DMs not being Sent.
Why is no one getting email notices for new friend adds or DM notifications?
As of yesterday (4/11 at about 4pm pacific) emails alerting of either new followers or arrival of DMs stopped.
Checking with Following list - this seems to be the state for pretty much everyone. Is there a system issue? Are you aware? Is there an ETA on the fix?
Have tried selecting and unselecting following notifications in preferences to see if that affects - no impact.

Inappropriate?This happened before and was corrected. But now, its happening again. Is there another glitch in the matrix? Who broke Twitter?

Inappropriate?Receiving emails for DM's but only for a fraction of new follower alerts. Which is weird. I get about 1 email alert for every 4 or 5 new followers.
I would *really* like this feature working.

Inappropriate?I am getting 5-10 spam followers a week. I get e-mail notifications for none of them. Ironically, when someone that I followed recently started following me, I did receive that notification.

Inappropriate?I haven't received Friend Request email notifications in MONTHS. (DM emails have been spotty but mostly reliable). I just figured I had inadvertently turned off the notification setting for friend requests and I hadn't bothered to look into it because frankly, I don't really care that much. However, just this week I started receiving them again so perhaps it is fixed now?
I’m wondering if I should now go turn off email notifications of friends requests

Inappropriate?Hi Amy. Fred Wilson has a recent blogpost where he talks about Twitter using the services of a firm called ReturnPath to improve their email deliverability.
Apparently as recently as three months ago, a lot of the emails sent out by Twitter were getting caught by spam filters. This might explain why you're now getting follower request emails...?1 Comment Add a comment
