Export full tweet archive
I would like to be able to use the API to obtain all tweets I have ever made with a single call.

Inappropriate? What about taking that export and having an the ability to import into another Twitter account. I'm switching over to a different username, as I want to use my other one for something else.
I’m optimistic

Hi Nathan. If your only purpose is to change the username, you can do so at http://twitter.com/account/settings without having to export-and-import anything.
As soon as you change the old username to a new one, the old one becomes available again. -
Perfect! That is a very good solution! ... and it worked perfectly. Not only that, but changing the username changes the URL, that wasn't explicit. -
Inappropriate?I'd also like to be able to export my entire tweet history (but I've no interest in using an API to code up something...really just want a button to push :-)

Inappropriate?Note: that applications like Twitter are powerful because they use APIs, I would agree that there's got to be a better way then entering your username and password into some random application to get export. But now I'm wondering, do you just want to export for the sake of exporting... or do you have a real need to export?
If so, why do you need to export?
I’m Glad I got another way to accomplish the same thing.

I'd like to export on a regular basis (maybe every few months) in order to do a content analysis (qualitiative assessment) of my Tweets. I'd also like to teach my students how to do it so they can see what meta-themes emerge from their communications. -
I want to keep a backup of my tweets so that I'm not reliant on Twitter to keep them safe. -
Like sheilaellen commented. I want to keep a local backup of my tweets. Also with the removal of the "history" tab there's no way to really see your past posts easily.
Even if it's something like how pownce's export was where you request an export and then a few days later it's done. At least for a full export. Then definately some way to just export the latest entries (I assume this is in the api? haven't checked in a while) -
Fwiw, you can see your own tweets by clicking on the "Profile" link in the upper right corner of the page, or by clicking on your own profile pic / avatar. You should be able to page through 160 pages of your own personal tweet history (for a total of 3200 tweets).
Also, if you don't have a lot of tweets yet, there are a couple of third-party services that can download your tweets for you into csv format.
See http://tweetake.com or http://bradkellett.com/tweetdumpr (I haven't tried using either of these in a while though.)
