Filters for Twitter's Facebook App
For example, only update facebook status with hashtag "#fb" or don't update if post contains "!fb" or "http://", etc
I love having it sync so I only have to update 1 service, but I feel it limits my tweets because I don't wanna update my facebook status too often and annoy people.

I'm now using Selective Twitter Status. It's a facebook app to auto update your FB status from twitter updates that have #fb in them

Inappropriate?I don't know if this will help you, but I know some people have been using http://ping.fm to control which of their social networks get updated whenever they want to post a status update.
-
Inappropriate?I've used Ping.fm - great service for updating multiple networks.
I'm just saying, twitter has the facebook-status syncing option, it wouldn't take much to support filters, the TwitterSync Facebook App supported this until twitter shutdown IM which the app ran on. -
Inappropriate?Another call for filtering on the Facebook app. I used Twittersync and the filtering there helped keep my status updates making sense. At the very least it'd be good to blank ALL tweets with "@" in them, not just replies. Or to prepend imported Tweets with "is Twittering" or something
A bit of REGEX goes a long way. -
Inappropriate?Nthing this idea. Set it up so you can use a hashtag to indicate that it shouldn't be posted to Facebook. Should be what, like one line of code with a regular expression match?
I’m eagerly awaiting this feature.

Inappropriate?I think my Facebook friends have been uber confused by my updates from Twitter. Would be really nice to be able to help them out via some filters!
I’m annoyed

Inappropriate? This is a grand idea and yes, some level of control would be nice. Being able to actually have a verb between our name and what we are saying would be icing on the cake...
I’m still waiting for improved functionality

Inappropriate? You don't need a hashtag. Just begin the tweet with "@yourusername" - all of your followers will be able to see it on twitter, but it will not post to Facebook.
-
Good idea, I'll try that. I tried using other dummy usernames, but not all followers would see my tweets. -
Seeing someone reply to themselves on twitter could get confusing to follow. Also, some people filter out replies so they just see people's updates. This could also cause problems with lifestreaming services. -
Agreed... even if this works, it's not a perfect solution. -
Inappropriate? In my experience, starting a tweet with @ means it doesn't post to Facebook, So none of your @replies will post. But I want to be able to filter out tweets that don't start with @. Ideally, I'd like a way of selecting the tweets that I *do* want to post to facebook.

Inappropriate?a simple '!' in the beginning suffices! Blip.fm does it, why reinventing the wheel?!

Inappropriate?I'm using TweetSync, which lets you define your own tag.
