Follow/Remove Error Makes me unable to add friend.

I tried to add a friend and while it was loading him I accidentally clicked remove. I then clicked the stop loading button in my browser, and now my friend has a "follow" button that when I click it it tells me there is an error and to refresh and try again. I can't add him! What gives?

I have this problem, too! Tell me when someone solves it.
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

Remove Inappropriate?
Delete or Edit for 15 minutes

Could you kindly try logging out of Twitter, closing your browser for a few minutes, then firing up the browser again to log into Twitter, then visit your friend's profile to see if it still has a Follow button? If it does, then try adding him. 8-)

I'm not sure that will work for you, but that's worked for me in the past. 8-)
