Getting twitter working on a Cincinnati Bell phone?
So I have a Nokia 6126 on Cincinnati Bell, and trying to verify using the 40404 short code isn't working. I have since discovered that CBW blocks the 40404 code. My phone doesn't do email, and I don't have a mobile web plan so that would be too expensive. Are there any other ways I can circumvent this problem?

Inappropriate?Have you tried using Twitter's UK sms gateway?
The number is +44 762 4801423
Warning: I don't know if it the UK number will work with a US or a Canadian mobile phone, but since it's not a shortcode, I would think that CBell will not block it. You *will* however, be incurring international sms phone charges.
Unfortunately, the only other alternatives I can think of are non-phone, i.e., third party apps or IM. Perhaps other Twitter users will be able to suggest alternatives. -
Inappropriate?Hi,
I would suggest using Twitter via mobile web. You can access it by going to:
m.twitter.com
in your phone's mobile browser.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?I got it to work- apparently most Nokia CBW phones CAN do email (both sending and recieving), if you set the "email center" to "0000000000". Then you can configure your phone with TwitterMail.com. You can recieving tweets by setting your email on TwitterMail as (phone # with area code)@gocbw.com

I’m excited

Inappropriate? What about for a Moto Razr?

Inappropriate? It seems that sending info to the 40404 short code does not work.
However the 21212 short code DOES work. So you can use that.
I’m glad
