Gravatar Support?
It's a real pain in the neck to update my avatars on all of the different sites I use, so the growth of Gravatar (Globally Recognised Avatar), has been really awesome. It would be great if Twitter had an option in the Account Settings page to allow me to use my Gravatar instead of uploading an avatar to Twitter.
The pre-built PHP5 class, recently published here, makes it a doddle to integrate; and it would certainly make life tonnes easier for users.

Inappropriate? It's time twitter stopped trying to be an entity on it's own... Embrace other services, integrate and thrive.

Inappropriate?I think that's an attitude a lot of large web companies should take; they all share the same goal, of making the user's experience easier and more enjoyable. By embracing other services, especially Gravatar I feel, they would go further to reach this goal.
My real aim is to get Gravatar support for all of the web services I use - Google will certainly be a biggie!
I’m excited

Inappropriate?I think this is a great idea. Most Twitter users love the simplicity of Twitter - 140 characters, no threaded replies, etc, and Gravatar support would just add to the simplicity.
I just wonder if Gravatar would be able to withstand it.
I’m supportive of this suggestion.

Since the Gravatar acquisition by Automattic almost a year ago the service has been great - partly due to the PHP rewrite, and the better hosting capabilities of the Wordpress.com framework. -
Inappropriate?Great idea! The only place I really use my gravatar is on chris.pirillo.com, but would love to have it on Twitter!
I’m happy about this!

I wish more places would adopt gravatars. Mainly blogs take use of them — such as chris.pirillo.com — but more and more, I'm noticing web services using the gravatar api. Such other web apps include Seesmic among others. I hope Twitter will support this too! -
Inappropriate?I really hope they support Gravatars in the near future.
I’m hopeful this comes through.

Inappropriate?Would it be possible for a Twitter employee to let us know whether this idea could be considered?
I’m confident

Inappropriate? It seems that Twitter guys never answer a request... I've ask several things, by GetSatisfaction or by mail, and I have never had any response...
I’m angry

Inappropriate?Just recieved a reply from Ev at Obvious:
"We haven't really thought about adding Gravatar support, but I like the idea. Will think about it."
So perhaps there's light at the end of the tunnel!
I’m happy
