HELP - I can't tweet.... can anyone help me?

I can't tweet since yesterday. I'm from Germany and twett via twitter.com, click on 'update' and nothing happens.

I am having the same problem as Dan exactly.
I hit 'update' and nothing. I tried to tweet via text. That didn't work either.

I live in Belgium and Holland and I can't tweet in either country... Hit update and nothing happens...

same i hit update and my computer has the spiral icon when it is doing a task a long time but my bio doesn't ever change.

I can tweet from Firefox but not IE (8)

I have now installed the Twitter app on Facebook and I have to tweet there :)

Exact same problem. Spiraling icon when I click Update, but never completes. Tweets sent from my mobile never seem to go anywhere.

Are there actually any people running Twitter? I can't seem to find anything but tutorials on the Twitter help page!

Ugh! I'm having the same problem! I cant update from my phone and/or mobile internet!
Twitter is really poor with their customer service. They don't have any and when I need help I cant get it!
I want to know when this'll get fixed!

If you haven't yet done so, this is not a good time to try deleting & re-adding your phone - or, indeed, make any other drastic adjustments which you can't easily undo.

Any issues which first appeared at approx. 14:00 UTC on Thursday 6th. August 2009 or later are likely to be side effects of the (still ongoing!) massive DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack on Twitter and related services via the Internet. All Twitter users are inconvenienced in some way.

As a result, many parts of Twitter - and 3rd.-party applications such as http://dabr.co.uk and http://m.tweete.net - are working poorly or not at all. Even updates from the phone are disrupted for many users.

I hope things will be back to normal within a few days - though of course I've no idea if this will be the case. Even Twitter's API developers have no ETA.
Basically, we have to wait for the Internet (not just Twitter) to be fixed...

To keep up to date with Twitter's attempts to get things back to normal:
• Follow @Twitter (if you can follow people at present)
• Read Twitter's newest posts at http://status.twitter.com and http://blog.twitter.com/
• @dabr is updating with useful tips at http://dabr.co.uk
• Inside information from Twitter's API developers

Meanwhile, some 3rd.-party alternatives (which have worked for me at least partially):
• http://dabr.co.uk is actively devising workarounds and has a list of @dabr mirror sites
• http://tweetgrid.com worked for me even whilst http://twitter.com was officially 'down' on Thursday afternoon.

I have been unable to tweet for over a week. I can't update or reply. It is extremely frustrating.

I have similar problem, and it seems to be related to wordpress. Is anyone else using WP? Please respond to help the dev's isolate the problem =)

Clearing your cookies and cache from your browser, signing in again, and BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE, posting your update will work. After a bit of time it should lock down until you do it all over again. At least, that's been the routine for me. I can't understand why Twitter hasn't responded.

I deleted all twitter and twitter apps cookies from my foxfire browser, and it has worked fine since then - no lockdown.

just in case - here is how I deleted the cookies on firefox
I went to firefox tools --> options --> privacy and then clicked on the "show cookies" button on right. Then selected the Twitter cookies (and twitter add-ons) and deleted them all - folders and everything.

It has worked fine for me since then. Good luck!

Since yesterday i Can't tweet ... when i hit update nothing happen ! last moth it was that i couldn't change my Background and now . i can't tweet .. whaoo !
