Help with Security Information Window
Since the blow up yesterday I get the annoying "This page contains both secure and non secure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?" Window and it's driving me crazy. This happens with all requests.

Inappropriate?Hello. I believe this behavior only happens if you're using Internet Explorer.
The question re: loading non-secure items is a security notice from your browser as a consequence of using https instead of http.
The browser sees that the Twitter user profile pics (avatars) are coming from a different domain (they're hosted on Amazon's Web Services, not on Twitter's website), so it asks for your confirmation that you want them displayed.
If you happen to be using Internet Explorer v6, you can turn off that prompt by going to Tools --> Internet Options --> Security TAB --> Internet Zone Settings --> Display Mixed Content = Enable (I believe the default setting is "prompt").

Hey, thanks your solution works great -
Inappropriate?I've just signed up for Twitter. Reactions after first day of use? The software behind this over-hyped app is pretty amateurish.
On IE7, i get the security notification with every request. Your solution? Just open up a security hole. Nice. Could I just use Firefox? Nope. Deletes don't work with Firefox, so who knows what else on the site won't work with the second most widely used browser in the market.
I'll try again after Twitter grows up.
I’m frustrated
