How come I can't add marshallk to my list of people to follow?
Whenever I try to add Marshallk to my list of people I follow, it tells me "something went wrong." If I try to add him on the mobile twitter, I get a similar message telling me he can't be added right now.

Hi again! Actually, people with public profiles can still selectively hide updates from individuals. You can learn more about blocking here.

Hello,
Twitter offers a variety of privacy settings. Some people prefer to be very open with their updates and others like to be more selective.
The alert you saw means that this individual's privacy settings do not allow the action you requested; in this case adding Marshallk to the list of people you follow.
The alert message could be more descriptive. Thanks for pointing that out! We're going to put that on our to-do list.
Cheers,
Livvy

Inappropriate?Hi Livvy. 8-)
@marshallk (http://twitter.com/marshallk) has a public profile. I just tried adding him myself and was able to do so even though he doesn't follow me.
Could vincent's problem be something else?
I’m trying to be helpful

Inappropriate?I don't think that's it. He has a public profile and he's pretty open about giving it out to people. Could you look into it a little further, please?
