how come my tweets dont show up on search. The only people that see me are the people who follow me. can that be fixed?

I have the same problem and thought that twitter has problems but seems like my account/tweets cant be seen on real time or anytime at all.

Even we (@123GreetingsCom) are having the same problem. Any initiative from Twitter's end is appreciated.

I'm still experiencing problems as well, and it's extremely irritating as I manage a business account.

I only noticed it when my #yam tags didn't feed through to my Yammer account. Can't see how I've breached any terms, in letter or spirit

I have this same problem. Especially with the trends. I type out the messages and go back to check and they are not there at all. My friends see my messages but no one else does. I don't have it on the private setting , its extremely frustrating not being able to be in the community .. and able to tweet in trends <

I have this problem as well. I am posting unique content and am not spamming, so I should not be filtered out. I do not appear in searches and cannot participate in # conversations

It does annoy me that I see people posting repeat tweets and the like. I don't spam. I only have a few followers (surprise surprise). Twitter are abusing the free status by not having to play fair and have a vehicle to correct obvious anomalies in how people do and don't get included in searches

This is a new problem for me and I don't know why. I don't spam & now my tweets do not show up in the search when the person isn't following me. No fun at all. :( It's hard to get new followers if they can't even see you responding to them.

I've experienced the same problem for the past 2 days. My tweets can only be viewed on my homepage but not out in the community at large.

This has been frustrating for us, too, as Twitter suggests tweeting for your business. When we posted info only, the tweets would show in community. When we linked to our website, they would not. Twitter Support's only response was, "We do our best but cannot put everything in the Search." Seemed funny, tho, that business related posts kept not showing.

I'm almost wondering if someone maliciously clicked the 'report spam' button on my page. Without Twitter telling me exactly what caused it, I have no clue. This would be one reason why I would like to be able to tell who has visited my page via IP address.

I have closed my old account and opened a new on eand i still cant @replies to ANYONE so I dant think it has to do with spam.

Ok i got a answer from twitter support... they say that if you are not following the person you can not replie to them.so anyone with a block account you can not replie to them... ( is that not what twitter is for is to replie to people!!) I have the email and if you would like to see it you can email me and I will send it to you !!! randybarb@shaw.ca

I can send a DM, but hashtags don't get sent. As a matter of fact my message does not get out to the community at large period. As others have noted this is very frustrating. I looked in the Terms of Service and I can't for the life of me see where I have made any violations that would result in me being cutoff. Don't know how to reach Twitter Support. Don't know how to resolve this if it is at all possible to resolve.

3 tweets... 1 appeared in search... Which means that the "selected Twitter" status app on facebook won't work reliably.

My account has been out of Twitter search results for more than six months now. The automated processes that are responsible for taking us out of search are apparently not so good at putting us back.

I know that it is just another stick to be ignored by the good hard working folk at Twitter, but I started a Facebook group to help bring people together in one place.

I found this gem in the Twitter Rules, and I am pretty sure that is why my tweets never show in searches:

"If you have a small number of followers compared to the amount of people you are following"

I have the problem too - have *never* voilated TOS and I have been using Twitter for years with over 35K followers. This is BS.

I have been unable to participate in hashtag conversations for six months now. It's really getting OLD. I will ask a friend to RT my hastag just so it shows up!! How STUPID is that?

Same-o. I go to a trend to reply and see all kinds of people. I want to be there, but it only shows up in my HOME page. Maybe my few followers. HOW DO I GET IT TO SHOW UP IN TRENDS?!

Much the same problem here. Most of my tweets do not show up in search. I've been using Twitter for about a month now, and only 3 of my 20 tweets show up. Curiously, all three which do show up are devoid of links, hashtags, or "@" replies.

A question for the others here that are experiencing this problem: If you go to search.twitter.com when you are NOT currently logged in and search for "from:" followed by your username (no @ in front), do you get ANY results back? Or do you get just a small subset like I do?

To anyone at Twitter reading this: it seems to me that you've got a growing problem here. I understand that identification of a problem and resolution of said problem are two different things, but still it'd be nice to get some sort of confirmation or acknowledgment from Twitter about this. If nothing else, give users an explicit indication when their tweets are being culled from search or the public timeline by your "quality" filters. At least then we'll know that we're being automagically excommunicated, at which point we can begin to try to determine why.
