How do I delete ALL my regular tweets in one go?
Is there a way to delete all my posts in one go instead of just one at a time?
I am going to switch my tweets from protected to not protected and want to clear out all the old posts first.

Inappropriate?Hello. For the moment, there's no easy way to mass-delete tweets.
But here's one work-around that you might want to consider:
1. Create a new account and set it to public. You can pick any temporary name you want for this new account in the meantime .
2. Rename your existing account to another account name. Maybe to make it easy to remember, you can add an underscore to your existing name.
3. Change the name of your new, public account to your current account name.
Note: After you rename your account in Step 2, your account name becomes temporarily available to anyone else who may want to use it. So I suggest you do Step 3 quickly right after you do Step 2 (this is why I suggest that you create the new account first so the time between Steps 2 and 3 can be as short as possible).
You'll end up with two accounts, one public and one private. At this point, you can choose to keep the first account as is and stop updating it, or you can opt to delete that first account completely (thereby wiping out all your tweets).
If you decide to delete the first account, please make sure you remove your phone and IM from the http://twitter.com/devices page so you can reuse those devices in the second account.
The drawback to this approach -- you'll need to rebuild your followers and friends with the new account. -
This is only a workaround. What about followers and folowed people? -
Inappropriate?HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Talk about a pain in the ass!
Just delete them by hand (yes it will take a while, but you asked for it), and try to maintain the tweets on a weekly bases by deleting the old ones. Creating a new account IS a way, but it may become a major headache in the long run. You could have a "Private" and "Public" profile if you wish, but WHY?? Twitter is all about sharing your experiences. If you want privacy, then Protect your Updates from the time line or communicate with Direct Messages and not the @ reply. This should make your time-line clean of clutter.
I hope this helps. -
Inappropriate?I wanted to clean one of my Twitter accounts (which was mostly being pumped by TwitterFeed), and on finding no easy way to do this, I wrote a script that did this. Eventually, I figured this could be of use to others, so I made it into an app. Check it out - http://twitwipe.com
