I am unable to activate my mobile device
I changed my mobile device number. I do not receive a verification SMS to the phone. I tried changing back to the old number with same empty result. Is there a system problem?

Those of you in the USA might perhaps be running into the problem which TeflonTeacup encountered - and finally solved - when setting up his phone to use Twitter's 40404 number.
There are several relevant threads which I'm tagging sms problems as I find them. Have a look at those which have recently been active, and you may find something which helps you.
The following information would be of help in identifying what may be going wrong, since there are so many 'suspects':
- Your country
- Your phone carrier
- The Twitter No. you use for SMS (e.g. 40404, 21212, or the long international No.).
