I can't get my picture down to 700k. How do I do that?
I'm trying to upload a profile picture, but I can't get it the right size. I have a Mac Notebook, and I've tried to upload the picture on Safari and Firefox. How do I get it smaller than 700k? I've made my picture ridiculously small, yet I can't get it below 700k. Is there some kind of trick or am I just that horrible with technology?

Inappropriate?I'll assume you're using windows. Just open up the image in Paint...then click image, the stretch/skew change the horizontal and vertical each from 100% to something smaller and then just save as a new name and it should be a lot smaller. I just tried it makeing a 215 kb pic into a 77kb. I hope that helps.1 Comment

Inappropriate?Well Shannon I am having trouble too. How do I know whaen my picture is below 700K to qualify to replace the google eyes? If anyone answered you could you reply to Jonibee please? Maybe I will just put my gmail address in here for you. jonibee76@gmail.com . I am pretty computer illiterate and sometimes do not know whether to answer 'yes' or 'no'.

Inappropriate?Evidently the problem is clicking "save" twice.
Do not click "Save" a second time, after it says 'nice picture'.
I had the same problem as you are having and found a post that told me to just "save" once, and it worked. -
Inappropriate?if you picture is originally in iPhoto just go to File> Export then choose the parameters for the photo and click Export. on the next window you should be able to choose the location on your hard-drive where you want to save your photo
