I can't recieve direct messages
I have been sent numerous well i think at least 2 direct messages and i can't receive them. The person i am following i see every now and then and i was told that a direct message reply has been sent. I can't find it anywhere and my direct message thing is still on 0. I don't understand and i need this feature to work for me. What can i do to fix this?

Hi,
Direct messages can only be received if you are following that person. For instance if you are not following Thor his direct message will not be sent to you, even if he is following you. If you give me the usernames of those you aren't getting direct messages from, i can look into that.

Inappropriate?The problem may be on *their* end actually. There are various reasons the message may have not been delivered. You might consider doing a test to double check. If you post your Twitter username I'll send you a direct message and we can see (or you can ask one of your "real" friends). -

Inappropriate?From the looks of things here, Laura, this issue may be part of some general message delivery issues that Twitter has been having this week. So it's not just you. Now that you've responded with a negative on the test hopefully Twitter staff will pipe in with a suggestion.

Yes both parties follow each other. The usernames in question are 'bux' and 'zataang'. 'zataang' wants to send a message to 'bux' , but 'bux' never receives the message! In fact, even the other way round (bux -> zataang) does not work.
On the other hand, zataang <-> ashwinb works perfectly well. -

I am having these problems and would VERY MUCH like it fixed. I am following the person who i am sending direct messages to and they are following me also so i don't know how this can happen.
The person I've sent the direct message to received it they sent a reply and i never received their reply.
It'd be greatly appreciated if it could be fixed.

Inappropriate?I needed the direct messages to work because i rarely have credit on my phone so it was easier to contact family and what not through Twitter... I know i have a few messages that were sent to me cause i was told about it before and i know they received my message but i can't get any direct messages sent to me. I needed to see the direct message cause i needed to know something important immediately and i didn't receive a reply. If i make any sense.
