I don't want @replies for those I'm not following - setting broken
I want to see tweets from people I follow,
and
I want to see the @replies these people make to those who are also on my follow list,
but
I DON'T want to see replies to anyone that I'm not following.
Now, I thought I could get that by selecting the "Show me @replies to the people I'm following" setting under "Notices"...
Except that it does not work. I am seeing all the tweets and ALL the @replies from people I follow even if the replies are to people I'm NOT following.
This is very annoying. What's going on?

Inappropriate?I've had this setting ('Show me @replies to the people I'm following') enabled for some time now and it seems to have no effect. I recently tried re-selecting this option from the dropdown and then re-saving my Twitter settings, and still nothing.
This issue is extremely frustrating, because some users I follow have high volumes of @replies to strangers, and I'd rather not see these.
Maybe this issue only affects a limited number of Twitter users?
(NOTE: This is the same issue that is described here: http://getsatisfaction.com/twitter/to...)
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Based on reports from other users, it seems this happens when we first follow someone, and it clears up by itself after a day or two.
If you're still experiencing this problem after more than a day, I suggest you log a support ticket at http://twitter.com/help and in that ticket, specify your username as well as the username of the other user whose @replies you're getting too much of.

Inappropriate?I am having this problem as well. I just followed someone and I am seeing TONS of tweets @ other users that I shouldn't be seeing. I will try to keep following the person for several days and see if that fixes it.
I’m glad there seems to be a resolution

I've occasionally experienced this when I start following a rather prolific tweeter. So far, things have returned to normal after a few hours. Presumably Twitter's database caches need time to catch up with the new add.
It's annoying whilst it lasts, however. -
Inappropriate?I have always had this problem when first following someone and it is starting to get annoying.
I just followed @magic8bot as with the current settings I thought it would be fun to see if my friends used the service but it's made my feed unusable trying to find things from the last few days!
I’m undecided
