I follow Twitter on SMS, but when I turn notifications 'off' on my phone, an away message is sent to the web interface. Any way to turn that off (especially, without going to the web interface)?

Inappropriate?Hi Kristen,
Not sure if I fully understand your question. What do you mean by "an away message is sent to the web interface"?
You probably know this, when you send the "off" message to Twitter, you will
get this back "Updates are off. 'on' to start again. To silence direct messages too, send 'off' again."
Then what happens? -
Inappropriate?Thanks, thomashan.
I do receive the "Updates are off..." message on SMS; in the web interface, though, an "I'm away from my computer" message is sent as a new Tweet.
Is there any way to stop that away message from being sent? (I delete it later when I turn notifications back on.)
I’m encouraged to think there might be a way to turn this feature off.

Inappropriate?Hi Kristen,
Hmm.. weird. Usually the (default) "I'm away from my computer" message is sent from my IM (e.g. Gtalk or Adium on Mac) when I set it to automatically send this message to people who send me IM while I'm away.
Do you also have IM setup or only SMS? could this be somehow coming from an IM client you have logged in but away, it's the only thing I can think of...

Inappropriate?That was it!
I went to http://twitter.com/devices and realized that I still had the IM set to on even though I don't follow Twitter on IM.
Thank you--
I’m happy to no longer send ghost away tweets.
