I get redirected to another user's profile page after I delete or send a direct message via the Twitter website.
I get redirected to another user's profile page after I delete a direct message.
I believe this is an unintended consequence of the feature that @crystal mentioned in one of her tweets this weekend:
I can consistently reproduce this behavior in Firefox 2.0.0.14 on WinXP SP2 by following these steps:
1. Login to Twitter
2. View the profile page of another user (e.g., http://twitter.com/pistachio)
3. Click the "Home" link at the top of the profile page go to my own home page
4. Click "Direct Messages" link in sidebar
5. Delete one of the messages
After I click the message, I find myself back at http://twitter.com/pistachio and the note: "Message has been deleted!" appears briefly before fading away. I had expected to find myself back in my Direct Messages page with the deleted message now gone.
The same unexpected redirect behavior also happens when I send a direct message from http://twitter.com/direct_messages

Inappropriate?I have a similar problem:
After sending a DM, instead of my Inbox/Sent page re-loading, I am redirected to the last individual/full page tweet that I looked at.
So, for instance, I previously clicked on "in reply to" within my stream, and it brings me to that *specific* tweet in full page mode.
Later, I send a DM.
After the DM, I am redirected back to that *specific* totally unrelated tweet.
I have to re-enter the Twitter URL as there is no Home navigation from those pages.
I’m annoyed.

Inappropriate?Yes, it seems that we get redirected to whatever happens to be the last non-Home Twitter page we looked at.

Inappropriate?I noticed this today. After I delete a private message it goes to the last profile page I visited. I think this also happens with other save or delete functions.
(Also let me add, wouldn't be nice if Direct Messages was a tab instead of a small sidebar link)
I’m amused

Inappropriate?Just noticed now that I remain in my Direct Messages page after I delete a direct message. Don't know if it's just a coincidence or if the problem has officially been fixed.
Side note: Someone else has suggested that Direct Messages be a tab instead of a link on the sidebar. The relevant thread for that suggestion is here.
I’m in a good mood
