I hit update and my tweets just disappear.. did twitter block me or is it just an error?!

Problem: I've apparently been blocked for unknown reasons.
The update doesn't "say" anything.

This question has been posted 11 days ago and I am personnaly still experimenting the problem... Is this a bug ?

Same thing is happening to me. My tweets dissappear before they hit the page.

Well updates still OFF .... and NO FEEDBACK from getsatisfaction ....

3 days now the updates are not posting on twitter ( web ) and the worse... no way to have an explanation or a feedback .....

5 DAYS already : problem still there and still no feedback ....

2 little things :

1- Where can twitter users find these rules ?
2- Why not warning or sending an e-mail when this is happening ?

I personally think that communication is the most important thing, especially in a community.

I've turned updating back on, so all is well. I found your support request and replied as well, which you should have received via email.

Only every other tweet is eaten up after I hit "update," and this happens occasionally, so I doubt it's a suspended account. I always thought it was a Twitter bug I had to live with. Maybe not though: Please check the REHI account. Many thanks!

I have no idea why I would be blocked. I almost never post links and I just joined so of course I've just added quite a few people to follow. This seems really random to me. I haven't posted anything offensive, maybe some pg-13 language but no actual cursing. My wife is having the same problem. If this was a simple error and I'm being blocked for some weird reason or another I'd really like to know why.

I wanted to use the account name: houphotoblogger as a way to give links to area photographers from the Houston Photobloggers website, but I think I've been flagged. Is this not going to be possible? Links are going to be the main postings for this account. This would be too bad as some local photographers are chosing this way versus RSS or email notifications of new postings and interesting stories.

I'm getting the same thing, and I don't know why. Please let me do updates, Twitter is the only way I have for keeping in touch with some people

I'm having this same issue. It does it sporadically though and it's really irritating. I'm not posting any links, just random updates throughout the day.

None of my tweets are updating either - i have had a couple people start following me, but no more than 3... and really only have have 17 connections with other people.

So, for me it is just doing it periodically too. Every other time I log on it doesn't let me update. It is really starting to get on my nerves.

Once again, my username is walkingcarpet and I'm posting updates about my day, and replies to some of the people I follow, I'm not doing any links or anything on the posts, and this really is the only way I have to keep in contact with some of my friends.

I'm having the same problem! I'm a new user so I've added a few people all around the same time and don't have many followers myself yet. I don't think I've posted links, just updates about my day. Only about every third or fourth update posts though.

I think this is a new Twitter bug since yesterday, not accounts being blocked. See also here:

I can post instantaneously using the facebook twitter application, yet using the actual web site i cannot? This is ridiculous. No offense, but if an explanation is not given as to why i'm marked for spam (i do not post links, do no post offensive material, do no post offensive words...) i might as well stop using the application. At least i gave a reason, unlike these new "large" companies.

Posted right away using Facebook. But, not Twitter. Absolute joke.

If you can post via third-party applications (like the one in Facebook) then I doubt if you've been suspended for spam.

It's a bug which Twitter is looking into.

Also, this workaround seems to work for some of the people who have encountered this problem.

username: thatchman1 For many days, random tweets are totally discarded after I hit update, with no error message. I have reverted to copying posts before I post them, because the rate is some randomly poor. Then 10 seconds later, I can post it with no issues. The missing posts never do return.

Given that I have an IT background I am going to totally discard this next statement, but I'm going to make it anyway: If I click the update button and hold it down a long time, or make more than just a quick click, it never seems like the tweet fails to post. I know, I know ,that sounds silly, I don't know... just reaching for anything here...

These oblivion tweets tend to be when I'm using a computer with IE6 on it but has also occurred with a Vista machine. I don't notice any other slowness or lag in the website when this occurs.

I have articulately defended Twitter to several key, influential people out there,
and have been here since '06.
But the problems, lack of communication,
and laissez faire attitude in tweets (fire? What fire?) are getting hard to take.
