IM notifications through GTalk is not sending all Twitter updates

Hi guys,
We're working really hard to stabilize. As a means to that end, we had some downtime with Jabber/Gtalk as a result of our infrastructure project:

But now we're back!

There might be some residual hiccups in the next few days, but we're monitoring everything carefully. Try signing out of Gtalk and back in if you don't see Twitter in your contacts, and send ON to see if you get a reply.
Thanks everyone, for being so patient through this. We've been working like crazy, and will continue to do so. There are lots of exciting things to look forward to in relation to our infrastructure improvements. If you have any more problems, please post them to this thread, and we'll look into it.

You'll need to turn notifications ON for people whose tweets you want to receive via Twitter IM and SMS.
This is different from the web, where you see ALL tweets by people you're following, whether or not you've set their notifications to ON. 8-)
See http://twitter.com/friends (after logging in) to change the notification settings for each user you're following.

Inappropriate?I haven't had a single notification through since turning on GTalk IM earlier today.
I double-checked and notifications are ON. I can do "get username" and it gives me the last update from that person fine. I can post and it turns up instantly on the web site. Just no notifications.

Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem since a few days. Notications are on, but not all tweets are coming through on IM. Sometimes a tweet from a user comes through, and sometimes it doesn't.
