Inappropriate?Your choice. If you don't like it...change the channel. But on the flip side, you should consider whether you are getting decent value for what you pay for the service...think about it.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Indeed it is frustrating but I agree with Bryan above me. We need to give Twitter a chance to achieve the required scale. 1-2 months from now if the problem persists I may feel differently.

Inappropriate?I agree with Bryan also. He made my case for getting out a LOT STRONGER. He said to considered my value for the price I pay for the "service." I pay nothing for the service and that is exactly what I got..."NOTHING." You pay for what you get! Twitter has had ample time to get this up and running correctly. Think about this: how long would you expect to go without electricity?...water?...internet?...All things you pay for? Not long if you are paying for it. Like I said you pay for what you get. I'm outta here.

Inappropriate?Miamiaz,
Take a look at www.jaiku.com MUCH better service, and it is owned by Google so you know he service has the knowledge / resources to grow and scale
I’m loving Jaiku!
-
Inappropriate?Am on Jaiku and Plurk, but cannot invest energies on every platform. If Jaiku wins in the end we all might move there. But Twitter is where it all started. Plus it is extended by all the 3rd party apps like Twirl, Twitterberry, FB, FriendFeed, SMS, Twitterfeed, Summize. Will be interesting to watch how it all plays out!

Inappropriate?I like Twitter; I want to stay.
Like Kaw said, Twitter was the beginning. But, if the service remains unstable, I'm moving.

Inappropriate?Twitter is down again right now. Both www.twitter.com and www.istwitterdown.com say so. That sucks, because I wanted to develop using the API. I guess I'll wait.
I really think that the guys at Twitter should put a little advertisement. With all the pageviews they get, this would give them the money they need to pay for the service.
But of course, this might go against their values, as stated in the FAQ. But still.

Inappropriate?Yeah, they really need to get that stuff worked out soon, otherwise people will wander off to other services, no matter how established Twitter already is...! I don't care whether it's free, it still should be working -- not just occasionally, but most of the time and not just with the website but with 3rd party clients as well...! As of now, none of this seems to be the case...
I still like Twitter best, and it has the most users...I don't really see a point in using plurk.com, but Jaiku, identi.ca or Pownce might be a choice for the future...
Still hoping that Twitter will get the service fixed real soon...!
I’m fed up with all the downtime
