is gtalk support toally broken? I don't even see twitter@twitter.com as online
twitter@twitter.com has been offline all day, earlier in the day i could send "help" and the bot would reply and my tweets would go through but no notifications. Now my tweets do not go through and "help" also does not respond. I even tried to "delete and start over".
Anyone else having this problem?

We fixed it this AM, but we're still having some occasional hiccups. Engineering is smoothing it all out as we speak. I've been keeping an eye on what people are saying here:

Inappropriate?Jabber (gtalk) is currently unavailable due to problems we experienced last Friday. We've made blog post about this and have also put a note in the UI. We were hoping to get it turned on sooner, but we're still working out the issue.

Inappropriate?Yes, IM is still offline. They post daily updates on their efforts to restore full services at http://status.twitter.com. Unfortunately, until IM is back online, people won't be able to verify their im accounts.
