Is there a known problem with SMS notification to Verizon Wireless users?
Several times in the last two days, when I load the Twitter home page http://twitter.com/home, I see a red notification box: "Is your phone okay?" It tells me notifications have been turned off to my phone because of some problem with delivery.
My phone is receiving and sending text messages from all other sources without problems, and tweets I send to Twitter from my phone go through just fine. I have turned on phone notifications four times now, and I know of at least one other Twitter user who has a Verizon Wireless phone and has experienced a similar problem. But a few hours after I turn notifications back on, I load the Twitter home page and see the red banner again, and have to turn notifications on once more.

Inappropriate?I've had to turn notifications back on three times today, and my roommate has also had the same problem several times. In the last 4 hours, I've missed 2 @'s, 1 DM, and 12 updates from people I have notifies turned *on* for. I've missed SMS before and I accept that it'll happen once in awhile, but I don't want to miss 90% or more of my updates because one SMS fails!
I’m disgruntled to the 10th power.

Inappropriate?I have had the same issue, I have turned back on my SMS at least 4 times today and am not sure what the issue is. But if I have something turned on I expect it to work without having to reset it over and over again.
I’m irritated and living with someone disgruntled to the 10th power.

Inappropriate? Is verizon trying to block twitter now like.....what AT&T did before or some other carrier I forget? or just a glitch in the matrix?

Inappropriate?Figures, since I posted this question I haven't had any trouble with this. But I'm still checking now and then to be sure it doesn't happen again.
I’m pleased

Inappropriate?I'm on an iPhone, using AT&T, and this has happened to me twice in the past week. Was this resolved?
