Is there a problem with TinyURLs?
Hey there,
I tried to post a link in my tweets for the past two days and haven't been able to do it. I keep getting a message that my tweet is too long because of the link address. In the past, the URL has just been converted to a TinyURL.
Are TinyURLs no longer working or is there a setting I now have to turn on?

Inappropriate?The URLs I was trying to post don't end with an extension (like .htm, .html, .php, etc) and I suspect that's what was causing the problem. Twitter wasn't recognizing them as complete URLs.
As a workaround, I just go to TinyURL directly, make the tinyurl and the go to Twitter. Not as convenient but it works.

Inappropriate?I have found a fix for this problem. Well not really a "fix" but a way around it. The problem that is not really a problem is stemming from surf protection that does not allow redirects. Dern if I could find the one blocking tiny though. I have three running in Vista while browsing with firefox. 3+
Firefox/twitter have a program "add on" for free that allows you to right click - make or resolve a tinyurl back to the full line again.It's called "Long url mobile expander"
