Is there a way to filter the public timeline by language?
Most of the time the public timeline is filled with twitters that aren't in languages I can understand. I was wondering if there was a way I could filter them - even filtering by character would be a massive help.

Inappropriate?I have a friend who insists on duplicating his photo blog entries on twitter even though they're already on his blog. I want to filter to remove any of his twitters containing the word Moblog

Inappropriate? It would be most useful to support language and locale settings. For example, I'd want to do en-FR (english speaking, french locale) as a means to filter. In addition it would be nice to be able to track using search operators like those used with search engines. For example: track +software -iphone -perl

Inappropriate?Consider a "locale" command similar to "track" that allows you to specify a list of acceptable languages and/or locales similar to how web browsers and HTTP use the Accept-Language header (see RFC 2616).

Inappropriate?this is one reason orkut is mostly popular only in brasil. languages and information must be relevant and meaningful to the users who understand them. i agree with the poster.

Inappropriate?A new Twitter search engine was just launched a couple of days ago. One of their features is filtering search results by language.
See this blog post at Summize for details, and give the new search engine a spin at http://twitter.summize.com
I’m in a good mood

Inappropriate?I'm wondering why no one from Twitter has responded to this question. I'd also like to be able to filter the public timeline by language.
