Inappropriate? This is still happening to me. It is not limited to the mobile vs. standard site... I cannot keep two desktop browsers logged in at the same time either.
-
Inappropriate?Ah, something did change, but the problem indeed hasn't been entirely fixed :(
IIRC previously logging in on a browser would end my Twitter sessions on any other browsers.
Now logging in on a browser will end my Twitter sessions on any other browsers that are closed that I had logged in the "Remember me" checked. Browsers that are open that are currently logged into Twitter are spared :)
Nonetheless still very annoying.
I’m thinking it's surely not that hard to get this right!

Inappropriate?same problem happening to me: I twitter from the web and from the mobile site, and I have to login every time, over and over again. Quite frustrating.

Inappropriate? This most definitely has not been fixed and the issue is still happening in exactly the same way now as it was back in January. It appears Twitter have no plans to do anything about it and is indeed very frustrating.
I’m resigned

Inappropriate?I figured it was just a security setting they'd changed, but I find no mention of it in the blog or or status tumblr. Logging my "me too!", and hoping Twitter can return the functionality to it's previous state.
I’m only mildly annoyed

Inappropriate?Me, too. I keep getting logged out of Twitter mobile on my phone when I log in on a PC. I'd love to stay logged in by phone.
I’m only mildly annoyed.

Inappropriate?Yeah. It's irritating. If I close the browser, I get to re-login the next time I open it up. If I switch computers, same thing. No problems with Tweetie logging out, but definitely in Firefox.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? Please fix this - it's fundamental - moreso than a lot off the fluff you've added recently.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I've asked this on about 15 different topics with no bloody response. This started happening for me about 6 months ago when I changed my password - all web/mobile browsers now log me out when I log in somewhere else. Very annoying (especially on mobile).

Inappropriate?I contacted Twitter Help through help.twitter.com, and a Twitter Support person has now replied to me:

Hi ToddPM,
I've been digging into this a bit more and you're absolutely correct. This is a bug and we're going to fix it.
Thanks,
Luke

So I don't know how long it will take to see this fixed, but now we at least know they are aware of it and have said it will be fixed at some point.
I’m cautiously optimistic

Inappropriate?Same issue for me - when twitterfon logs in from my iPhone, it seems to log me out on my browser. As much as I enjoy twitter, I'll stop using it if I have to keep logging in all the time. Been happening for months now, thought it was because I use Chrome. I can't for the life of me find a link to Twitter help, so you did well Todd.

Yeah, they've got it pretty much buried.
Clicking the Help link from a Twitter page takes you to http://help.twitter.com/home (redirected from http://help.twitter.com/) . A little less than halfway down that page, at the end of the section called "Find people on Twitter: Twitter Search!" is a link that says, "Twitter, Help! Did something go wrong? Let us know!" It's right before the section called "The Official Twitter Text Commands".
That link takes you to http://twitter.zendesk.com/requests/new , which seems to get a more official response than these Get Satisfaction pages.
I can't believe it's an accident that it is so well hidden.
