Make it easy to find friends.
It's very hard to find people I know are on the system. A people search feature would be nice. Whadya say Twitter peeps?

Inappropriate?Twitter used to have this feature. If I remember correctly, it wasn't implemented in a scalable way: every keypress triggered a fulltext search query to be sent to the database, which stops working VERY quickly as the number of users goes up.
I hope they bring it back, though. I miss it!
I’m sad

Inappropriate?I agree. I don't understand why this is so difficult. You actually have to know their username and type it into the url. Unless I'm missing something???
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?i'd just like a "friends of friends" page, which would let me quckly scan people and add them to my friends list.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Argh.
Satisfaction just ate my attempt at creating a new post. Short request. The ability to invite friends to twitter using addressbooks or email contact lists.
Thx.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? That'd be awesome. Dopplr has a "Your friends have recently added..." RSS feed alerting you to new people on the network.
I’m excited
-
Inappropriate?Hey jauderho- What happened when you were trying to post? Actually, would be awesome if you could report it over at http://getsatisfaction.com/satisfaction. Thanks!
I’m sorry we ate your post.

Inappropriate?Yup - it's way too hard to find people right now. We're on it!
-
Inappropriate?Seems as though the People Search is your answer to that problem! It would be good if you improved relevancy though, maybe first search through my friends' friends for names that match and then scoping to the whole world?
I’m indifferent
-
Inappropriate?People search is only mildly interesting for this use case. I would much prefer to be able to import contacts via gmail, outlook, etc.

Inappropriate?I want a real live woman friend, no just a name or a picture.

Inappropriate?I think twitter have to had something like the "Add Friends" on hi5 or MySpace... to add friends on twitter is so complicated...and such I know, just a few of persons know about this...
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate? It is nice to have access to all of your contacts if you have a publicly available email address (hotmail, gmail, etc...), but for those of us on our own domains, uploading an address list would be terribly helpful.
I’m serious. No, really. This is important stuff!!! (snicker)
-
Inappropriate?Yup. Finding people to follow is... near impossible without a hotmail/gmail account. I've found that the twittellator iPhone app is actually the only reasonable way to do this!
I’m kind of amazed this is not resolved...

Inappropriate?andy cochrane:
Various inventive Twitter users have devised many ingenious ways of finding and following people on Twitter.
Since that link is on pbwiki, it's likely to be updated regularly - and (if it's not there already) you could add your twittellator tip too, if you wished.
I’m thankful for the resourcefulness of so many Twitter users.

Inappropriate?I m excited
