Inappropriate?Use a Facebook RSS importer application. I use Blog RSS Feed Reader. Find it, add it to your page, then give it your Twitter RSS feed, found at the bottom of your twitter page. You can import as many different Twitter accounts as you like. You can see it in action on my page: Smithsonian Institution. Friend it while you're there.

Inappropriate?I have the twitter app for facebook. I use it with my personal twitter acct to update my facebook status.
I also want a feed, from a different twitter, to appear on a fan page for work. When I installed the app for the fan page, it links to my personal account on the feeds page, but the work account for the setting page.
I also can't figure out how to make the feed show up on the fan page. -
Inappropriate?Yeah, this is completely broken at the moment. I have exactly the same problem as jessilong.
Heah, I can use an RSS importer app but I haven't found one yet that doesn't look like an RSS importer! Getting a lovely Twitter style box on the Fan pages would be great!
I’m frustrated
-
Blog RSS Feed Reader works pretty well for me. Ocassionally, some of the 6 or so Twitter Feeds that I am displaying through it show no content, but if I refresh the setup page, they all show up again. It usually works fine. -
Inappropriate?None of the RSS apps are working for me!! Making a fan page is so much harder I wish they would just allow profiles for businesses - this is silly!!
I’m annoyed
-
Inappropriate?GREAT info about the RSS feed reader for FB fan page. RSS-Connect is the application that I'm using and seems to be working so far.
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate? But the RSS imported goes directly to your main profile page, not your fan page...right? Is there any way to make sure it just imports to your fan page only?
-
Inappropriate? So I added RSS Connect but even still I want it all! I want it to come with that lovely link that you get on your wall and news feed. The status update has many more options like a picture and description of a link or photo etc. Facebook really needs to work on this as I have found no one that can do this without manually creating an update on the facebook fan page.
I’m thinking
-
Inappropriate?Go to your page (that you admin), click on EDIT PAGE.
Scroll to the very bottom box and click the pencil next to MORE APPLICATIONS.
Click BROWSE MORE.
In the search box, type in "twitter".
Click on the first one.
Click on the box for ADD TO PAGE.
Confirm and you are done.
However, I must admit, it is much smarter to use the Selective Twitter Status app, as you never really want ALL your twitter junking up your FB pages..do you? When you put #fb at the end of your twitter status, it will also feed to your page and take out the #fb from your post. I like it so much better. -
Thanks. I added the Selective Twitter application and it worked like a charm for @Adventures4Cure -- thanks again. -
Thanks for the info! I got twitter to add to the fan page I am an admin of! How do I get the tweets to show up on Fan Page? Any suggestions? -
Inappropriate?I did find out that you can update FB pages through ping.fm. You can have ping.fm update both your Twitter and FB pages at the same time.
-
Inappropriate?Since I use Twitter to update my personal status and you can only allow one Twitter account, I had to figure a work-around.
In the end, I had to create a new Facebook account, give that account Admin privileges on my page, then allow Twitter to update that page's status. Convoluted I know, but I think it'll work.
I’m thinking Facebook's app interface is silly
-
It doesn't appear to be working. Lame. I guess I'll have to do the ping.fm thing or something. -
Inappropriate?Yay, I have finally gotten this to work!! It's a complete abuse of technology but it does work and an using it to post our @GoodwoodRoller feed to our Goodwood Roller Marathon Facebook Page :-)
The processs flow is ... CoTweet -> Twitter -> Yahoo Pipes -> TwitterFeed -> Ping.fm -> Facebook Page !!!
CoTweet, not really required but I use it to schedule tweets for times when people are reading Twitter & Facebook (lunchtime)
Twitter, it's just twitter really :-p
Yahoo Pipes, I take the RSS feed of my twitter account and filter out all the @ replies and strips off the Twitter username off the beginning of each entry. you can see the pipe I use HERE
TwitterFeed, Everyone uses TwitterFeed to publish RSS to twitter but did you know it can publish RSS to ping.fm too?? you probably want to setup this stage last so setup ping.fm first and come back to this :-)
Ping.fm, The only tool I have found that can update Facebook pages from another source. Make sure you don't setup ping.fm to update your twitter pages too else you will get an endless look of message updates!! I created a seperate ping.fm account for this, follow their instructions for setting up to update a Facebook page.
Facebook Page, Err, yeah, where it'll all end up! :-p
1 person says
this answers the question
-
I know this seems like a pain, but it actually appears to be working AND it gives you some flexibility with modifying the feed via Yahoo Pipes! -
I know this doesn't answer the main question in this thread but CoTweet can now post to ping.fm as well so I can now post to both Twitter and Facebook pages (via ping.fm) in one go which rocks :-) -
Inappropriate?I have set this up similarly @Dogsbody, but it doesn't seem to work. My Twitterfeed account takes my Twitter RSS and posts it to Ping.fm. Then I have my Ping.fm account set to update my Facebook fan page. Everything seems to be linked up correctly, but when I post to Twitter, it doesn't seem to make it to Ping or to my Facebook fan page.
Any ideas?
I’m sad
-
Same here -
Not much that I can say to this, I have it working on three Twitter/Facebook accounts now. Check each link of the chain. Drop me a line with details if your happy giving your details out and want me to take a look. Dan -
Inappropriate?I still can't figure out how to update my Fan page with my twitter updates...
I’m I feel confused
-
Inappropriate?I added the Twitter application to my Facebook Page. Yet, when trying to edit its settings through the edit page for my Facebook Page, I get the settings for my own account.
I’m wishing it can be done someday.
-
Yes, the official facebook app doesn't work with Facebook pages, that's exactly the problem all of us have :-) -
Inappropriate? If you post from their site Ping.fm takes care of everything you could ever ask for. Otherwise just use Dogsbody's method of Twitterfeed -> Ping.fm and problem solved!!!!!!
I’m relieved
-
Inappropriate? It took me few days to figure it out and i have created a step by step video to show exactly how to do this... it links to your updates and it DOES NOT put a tab in your page like so many of them do..straight to the status update of your fanpage.
Check out the vid here http://ow.ly/ueg1
leave a comment on my blog if it helps you

I’m confident

got a 404... not found :( -
sorry Phillip..try this link then http://www.businessascentials.com/how... -
Inappropriate?I do like the idea Brandon proposed, but I need to authorize Ping.fm to access my personal account and to update my status before I can authorize it to update the status of a Fan Page. Still, it's the best solution so far.
As for the solution Andrew suggested in his video, it's the application called "Selective Twitter Update." This requires you to append your tweets with "#fb" to make it work. Too messy of a solution for me.
I’m glad there's at least a working solution
