Member Abuse on Twitter
I wish to lodge a member complaint against Twitter member @amandachapel for his constant cyberbullying and other trollish behavior on Twitter, most recently towards fellow member @lizstrauss. His ad hominem attacks go well over the line of honest criticism or banter and consitute a level of abuse that violates any standards by which an online platform for community discourse judges itself. I ask Biz Stone and other fair-minded decision-makers at Twitter to asess this situation at their earliest opportunity. Thanks.

Content and Abuse
As a communication utility, Twitter does not get involved in disputes between users over issues of content except in very specific situations. Twitter is a provider of information, not a mediator. Specific physical threats, certain legal obligations, privacy breaches of specific types of information (e.g. SSN, credit cards), and misleading impersonation are some cases where we may become involved and potentially terminate an account.
Overall, we hold ourselves responsible for building tools that allow our users to control their own experience. Twitter is not a judge for resolving disputes over most content issues—our focus is on service.

Amanda looks for people to say things in jest and she takes them out of context into a wider forum. One example is with Igor. We could just as easily take the content of Amanda Chapel's blog and assume she pimps to the PR industry. The question is does she ask directly or does she go to a wider forum and libel people before people can defend their story? There is a pattern that goes for years. In the case of her recent accusation (in which she libels and says I raped a girl).... she didn't even take the words out of context. She completely fabricates a different story. The entire reason for @Panopticons to begin with was to surveillance Amanda Chapel and her circle. If you don't do anything about her libel, then people are forced to protect their own reputations. This is a fact and all you need to do is a google search Amanda Chapel and the history of her to see exactly what I am talking about. -

Let us stop the abuse. Panopticons was designed to protect myself and my friends from these people's lies and gossip. People's reputations are at stake in a public forum and nothing is illegal about accessing html that is not protected. Admittedly I myself was amused by these ignoramuses and played along, but they have never stopped the cyber bullying. It is time to stop blaming the victims. Today Brian Connolly accused me of rape. This has gone to far. My initial frustration was political and I was trying to protect the US troops from people like the people who are complaining here. The end game is ugly and these people provoke physical confrontations.

But this isn't about evangelists. Noah David Simon is a pernicious creep.
1. About a month ago Noah was booted from Twitter for spamming and abuse. See http://getsatisfaction.com/twitter/to... . His particular target is apparently women (ask @Purplecar, @dayngr, and @mailourmilitary, et al.).
2. Somehow, Noah has regained access and is apparently now reenacting his habitual harassment.
3. This particular campaign is about retribution and cover. Same as his statement July 22: “@Jack @Biz and @Ev if you delete this account I will declare a full out war on twitter.” See http://friendfeed.com/search?q=%22noa... .
We are now his target for having recently related his constant harassment of women to him being accused of rape in 1990: http://tinyurl.com/56os34 .
He replays this scenario again and again and again, i.e. forced conversation with women in social media followed by confrontation, abuse and harassment.
4. ALSO NOTE, birds of a feather: Noah closest friend and cohort in his campaign online is the notorious avowed troll, Igor Berger. Igor is explicit:

Inappropriate?Twitter has a terms of service (http://twitter.com/tos). The TOS says "4. # You must not abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other Twitter users."
And then "Violation of any of these agreements will result in the termination of your Twitter.com account. "
That's unequivocal. It's not "may result in the termination". It's "will". Abuse is pretty easy to recognise. It doesn't matter how many followers you have. A TOS is a TOS; the language is clear. Dave's point is clear too, and this is not by any means the first time for amandachapel to indulge in abuse in this way.
I'm also feeling that getsatisfaction is being used here like the call centre for the company that's provided the gadget that doesn't quite work. Nobody one talks to seems to be able to *do* anything, but they're all being very empathic.
Uh-uh. This requires action. So, Twitter, act, or explain your lack of action.

Charles. What you don't understand is @aMANdaCHAPel has some key people that have @Jack 's ear. Believe me... I have been following her case for two years now and she is getting away with murder. She accused me of rape and stalking on a myriad of occasions and has gone out of her way to promote this idea.... (it goes a little beyond harassment). this person has made a point to be a thorn in the sides of smart men... and if you are annoyed with her then chances are you are one of those smart guys. As I speak here now her cohorts @PurpleCar and eMOM associatess like @Dayngr and people like @MarkDavidson (rumored to be fighting with her too now) or @Vaspersthegrate ... etc. scum are already attempting to cause another panic towards me. I created accounts to follow their blatant libel and I have been booted off the twitter service. twitter doesn't police their actions and hides behind loopholes of responsibility and the wrongful accusations that she and her circle make. Unfortunately it sometimes takes extreme action to police their deviance. I didn't break any terms (till they changed them), but I did prove that multiple accounts can offset the block. There is nothing that can be done except surveillance. This gets me kicked off twitter, but I feel it is the right thing to do if Jack continues to do nothing. The more men that come forward and describe what is going on here, the more justified I feel I am in watching this reknown NAZI. (and yes I do mean NAZI)
