More Spammers
More spam.
The more people who ask this question, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?Select "spam report" to help report spam via help ticket: http://twitter.com/help/

Inappropriate? You can also submit to http://twitterblacklist.com/

Inappropriate?I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in filling out an online form or using some third party "blacklist" to list people who are spamming. It's a time consuming pain in the butt. I'm simply BLOCKING these people and I'm encouraging everyone else to do the same. Perhaps the folks who run Twitter will start looking at who is being blocked and figure out why.
It's 9:55 AM and I've already blocked FOUR of these people. How do you think it makes me feel?
I’m pissed!

Do you just delete e-mails in gmail instead of using the report spam button? Help the system, help others, and they will help you back. -
Inappropriate?I don't use gmail.
And I won't spend 5 minutes of my day 3 to 6 times a day (4 times so far today and it's only 10:28 AM) to fill out a poorly designed form just to report twitter spammers.
I say block. If we all do it and Twitter monitors mass blockings, its a quicker, easier, and better solution for all. -
They have a greasemonkey script you can run that adds a button which both blocks the user and reports it to their blocklist, so it's just as easy. -
Inappropriate?I don't think that's as easy as simply clicking a link on the twitter user's page.
Also, when I tried to use it, it told me to search to make sure the person hadn't already been reported. This is just adding more steps to the process.
The problem with spam is that it simply wastes time. I can't see wasting more time to fight it. -
Yes, I agree, the confirmation is annoying. If there was a better service which worked in the exact same way as now (click a block button), or in an even better way (got notifications you had been followed by a spammer, and automatically blocked them, and left you an (optional) notice that the spammer had been blocked), would that be better? -
Inappropriate?Thomas, I think a "This Looks Like Spam" link or button on a person's twitter page would do the trick nicely. The block button is there and that's how I'm using it.
I’m hopeful.

I don't actually mean from twitter (who knows if they will ever implement something), I mean like an add-on that works with an external site similar to twitblocklist, but does smart stuff like akismet. And it would use a Firefox extension or a greasemonkey script to add the button to the user page.
