My account has been suspended, i'm not sure why. I maintain a good ratio between follower and following, i perform housekeeping regularly to ensure this occurs. my tweets are a combination of news ( also lingerie news ( safe for work links), as that's my business) and engaging others.
i've been named one of the best lingerie twitters to follow ( http://guilty-pleasures.org/guilty-pl... ) and have started on a socail media campaign with twitter playing a vital part on this. Just yesterday i had a tweet from a writer at examiner.com who informed me she had posted an article linking to me
I've also created a print run, with my twitter username ( i can't afford to scrap these and reprint) and i'm due to have conversations with a couple of lingerie publications about twitter and the use in the industry.
Please help, as a lone business woman in a recession, twitter is a vital tool for me, and is critical component to my advertising strategy. The longer my account is suspended the greater detrimental effect it has on my business.

Inappropriate?Hello Modern Courtesan, as long as you are doing your Twitter advertising within reasonable bounds (i.e. not engaging in spammy behavior), Twitter would unsuspend your account=) Just post a ticket in Twitter and post here=)
As for the length, my account was unsuspended after 12 days=) So just be patient and trust Twitter=) It may take you shorter or longer, but it's really out of your hands right now=)
For the meantime, maybe this is an opportunity to explore other marketing strategies and ways to build your customer relations=)

thanks for your response, the problem is the suspension page that appears when anyone tries to access my account, it effectively is a judgement against you which you have no way of explaining to your followers.
It would have been helpful to get a warning prior to the suspension so i could have least figured out what i was doing wrong and look towards correcting it. right now i cant contact any of my contact who may well be wondering what is going on. if i could at least reply to those that have followed me and dm them if they have any queries then i could explain under the current system i cannot. and right now its a judgement against me and my brand.
twitter support has stated i have been aggressively following and have had people block me. I've always tried to maintain a good ratio between followers and following and didn't realise that following people was against the tos. a simple warning would have sufficed and i would have happy complied to prevent this from occurring.
blocking seems to me still questionable. i block spammers, spammers out of spite can block me. it i send a request to @spam ( because it doesn't follow you back, i cant dm it) so if i tweet @spam with a list of spammers, they can easily do a search to see who has mentioned them and block me first. it's quite galling infact as i've unfollowed, and blocked for example @porngus who manages to follow me back. what do i do? my ratio gets skewed by spam bots following me and if i delete them and try and get new followers i get suspended.
i have no way of contacting my customers, and those customers who would have followed me ( due to my outside efforts to promote twitter)will now not
i understand twitter support is probably overstaffed and undermanned and that the suspend accounts policy probably works for the amount of users that needs support. But it's unlikely that a spammer would go through all this effort to get their accounts reinstated.
i'm at a loss now what to do, do i create another account? i don't want to as my account is my brand name, i already have customers following me, it generates another account for no purpose and seems a waste of resources. how else can i contact my customers? can i then merge both account together? am i not supposed to contact my customers and potential customers for 30 days? will i have any followers after 30 days? in the meanwhile my links to twitter on my goggle profile, facebook, linked in are going nowhere and publications and write ups are going nowhere. this is part of my marketing strategy its totally integrated within it . I have events coming up which i've been planning for months, twiiter is the best place for me to generate interest, with the contacts of publications and bloggers i've made on twitter, and i feel that with this immediate suspension i do not have the time or resources to get this message out.
ive read similar queries from people on here saying they are still waiting for a response, like any customer i'd just like to know whats going on, where i stand and what are the steps going forward.

Inappropriate?case in point i have to do a search now for@moderncourtesan, see who's asking whats going on and get my it guy to respond to them saying he doesn't know! i have fashion bloggers directing people to my twitter page not realising i've been suspended? do i tell everyone by creating another account and risk that being suspended? do i spread the news and risk my online twiiter presence and reputation being destroyed? for all i know i've lost the business of that particular customers and clients
in the meanwhile @asvcxsjrhwqg and @xkpjormgjsoc seem to have unchecked abilty to spam porn and follow anyone they please.

apparently you can dm @spam even if they don't follow you, now i know ( even though i had to figure this out myself)
If someone could look at my account and give me an answer as to the next steps i'd be grateful.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem right now with my @mgemporium - an extension of my PDF book store. While I hope that I will have my account reinstated it's definitely making me reconsider using Twitter for my business and I honestly can't say I'd recommend Twitter to any of my partners or friends based on this outcome.
I have no idea what I was suspended for and it would have been nice to know before the suspension what exact "suspicious activity" was taking place on my account.

Inappropriate?just as an fyi, today is the kick off for the lingerie football league, my business is lingerie, I have the opportunity to get a lot of business and promote my business as part of this. yet with my account suspended there 's not a lot i can do. It's like missing the opportunity to do business on valentines day or near Christmas

unfortunately i think it's had an adverse effect on wefollow.com as my account was previously on there,i cant get back on for some reason. and I'm not 100% sure it hasn't effected any other 3rd party apps
Anyhow, i'd just like to say thank you for the quick turnaround ( considering your user base is in the millions!) i'm sure it's a difficult and demanding job you do and i just wanted to say I appreciated it

Inappropriate?But you should have known this would have happened, casue you're psychic! read the TOS and create a ticket with support. be patient. i know its difficult, but you have to trust that these guys will be able to sort it out for you
