Need specifics on Picture sizes
Can you please put more explicit instructions on how big the "picture" for accounts should be (pixels width, height)? It seems like there is no rhyme or reason why some work and others don't, even if they fall under the file size listed. Thanks.

Inappropriate?Amazed that no one has answered this, considering it's an obvious question and it was asked so long ago. :-(
The silence reminds me of http://getsatisfaction.com/twitter/to...
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?According to the header of this page:
"Twitter is here!
15 employees are listening and participating"
The issue is that, do not matter how big (or small) your picture is, it will be resized to width/height that it is differente from the CSS:

It would be really nice if any of those 15 employees starts participating in this thread.
I’m kinda mad

Inappropriate? So here's what I found out by experimentation: TwitPics seem to be 48x48 pixels. The bottom line: square (a terrible idea for photos of people's faces, but it is what it is). So crop your photo to a square. I did mine at 350x350, since that was appropriate size for the original, and let Twitter resize it, figuring it would look better if it started with something bigger.
I got it posted ...just before Twitter crashed. http://Twitter.com/Thisistrue
I’m undecided

Inappropriate? How the heck to add a picture. I've tried many sizes 16X14 px up to the above recommended 350X350 square and each time same error message. Something is wrong with your picture, probably too big.
What do we do? -
Inappropriate? For a profile picture there is a maximum size of 700k. For a background image there is a maximum size of 800k. Images must be formatted as JPG, GIF or PNG.
Images don't need to have certain dimensions. However, the profile picture will be cropped to square if the original is not. So I recommend uploading an image that is below 700k and also square.
If you are still having trouble, please attach the image you're trying to use and I'll check it out. -
Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem. My pic is on 53k and 115w x 156h. I don't have any problem like that with myspace or any other similar site. I don't get it.
I’m disappointed
