Need Twitter account violating ToS reassigned to us, please
We own ourpdx.com, ourpdx.net, and ourpdx.org. The @ourpdx account on Twitter violates our brand/copyright, and has been used to harass our readers. (We currently own @ourpdxnet now, but people often confuse the two accounts and send tweets to this semi-dormant account.)
I've reported this to two different email addresses and filed a ticket with help.twitter.com (Request 13883) - after 3 months, nothing's been done.
Please reassign the @ourpdx account to Our PDX Network. Thank you.

Inappropriate?Agreed. ourpdx should belong to ourpdx, not some spammer/spoofer/general ne'er do well.
I’m in total agreement
-
Inappropriate?I support the real Our PDX 100%. Current Twitter user with @ourpdx is a squatter trying to make a quick buck. Not sure who they really are but they link to an Our PDX competitor which would imply that this is not only a fraudulent user account but a malicious one as well.
-
Inappropriate?absolutely! this account should belong to ourpdx.net, not someone who camped on it to annoy. they've tried everything to do this nicely with them behind the scenes. they won't play nice. now's the time for twitter to dig out the big-stickTM.
I’m ticked at the spammer!
-
Inappropriate?I support the the twitterers who support the real Our PDX! I roll with them.
I’m miffed.
-
Inappropriate? This should be a no-brainer for you. Do a little research and then make it right. Should take you about five minutes. "@ourpdx should belong to ourpdx, not some spammer/spoofer/general ne'er do well."
-
Inappropriate?I think OurPDX has proven their intent to be an ongoing and viable site. Since the current user of this Twitter account using it for malicious intent, I think that's all the more reason we should own it. We play nice...
I’m sticking my tongue out in protest.
-
Inappropriate? Please fix this so the real ourpdx can have their twitter account. Thanks!
-
Inappropriate?OurPDX.net is clearly an established brand with a healthy, transparent and non-profit community of readers and participants around it. The @ourpdx was clearly set up with the intent to undermine the OurPDX.net brand and harass the OurPDX.net community.
@ourpdx is in clear violation of Twitter's code of conduct and needs to be given to its rightful owner. (ourpdx.net).
In addition, it should not take over 3 months for Twitter to address this issue. Twitter, please respond and take action immediately. It is important in keeping the Twitter community respectful, trusting and positive.
Sincerely,
Lizzy Caston
community participant in and reader of Ourpdx.net
I’m concerned

Inappropriate?Betsy is right.
-
Inappropriate?OurPDX has tried the proper channels for months, with no satisfaction from Twitter. Please help -- the alternate account OurPDX was created specifically to harass readers and authors. Certainly not the intent of Twitter.
I’m annoyed.
-
Inappropriate?I support this too! Please give the @ourpdx account to ourpdx.net!
I’m righteously annoyed
-
Inappropriate? The fact that this is our brand and copyright is of critical importance. The current owner of this name pretty much uses the account for no reason. They have no followers and rarely post anything. As Twitter's main focus is to encourage a fairly-constant communication (re: the feature to nudge if one hasn't updated in 24 hours), then this username clearly goes against the spirit of Twitter. Helping us to reclaim this name and better use it benefits Twitter and its community.
Please see to this and please help us succeed.
I’m hopeful we can achieve a good resolution to this
-
Inappropriate?I think if you looked into it you'd see that the people currently holding ourpdx are just camping on it and using it to annoy. not cool.
-
Inappropriate?I support OurPDX and their claim on @ourpdx twitter account. It seems like a no-brainer when you consider that this account has been used to spam/harrass people. Let's get this fixed.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Yep, please fix this. It's a no-brainer, and it looks like a lot of people are wasting their time on it. I don't know how the process works, but I hope it works FAST, to relieve us all of the dramaz.
-
Inappropriate?Seems fairly straightforward: OurPDX is a widely-followed blog with a legitimate claim to the @ourpdx name. The person squatting on @ourpdx isn't posting any sort of meaningful content and is using the account to harrass others, which is a violation of Twitter's terms of service. Shut 'em down and let the real OurPDX have the @ourpdx account.
I’m annoyed at the squatter, annoyed that Twitter has ignored this request
-
Inappropriate? The owner of ourpdx has used this twitter account to spread malicious comments throughout Twitter implying those tweets came from OurPDX authors. So childish. Please give OurPDX the ourpdx twitter account.
I’m annoyed
-
Inappropriate? The Our PDX blog is active and the squatter using the @ourpdx account is attempting to take advantage of that. The only right solution to this is to reassign the account to its rightful owner -- Our PDX Network.
I’m annoyed.
-
Inappropriate?I support the Our PDX request. Twitter has been sitting on our request of the same nature for over 2 months (Request 9499). Seriously, if our company gave the same service as Twitter, we'd be out of business.
I’m frustrated it takes Twitter so long to complete a simple task.
-
Received satisfaction. Thanks Twitter. -
Inappropriate?I definitely agree. It is misleading at best and harassment at it's worst. Please address this issue!
I’m annoyed
-
Inappropriate? This is a clear example of cybersquatting with malicious intent. If you have any doubts, check out the recent posts of the @ourpdx account after this complaint was filed. Twitter should not be rewarding this kind of immature and cowardly behavior.
I’m ticked off
-
Inappropriate?This is a sad thing.
I’m thinking that squeaky wheels will get some grease eventually?
-
Inappropriate?Rather astonished by Twitter's lack of response on this! It's been quite a while, and the community reaction seems unanimous. What's the problem?
I’m surprised
-
Inappropriate?I also support this claim. Please let the *real* OurPDX have the @ourpdx account.
I’m annoyed.
-
Inappropriate?Update - we still haven't heard from Twitter, but our support ticket filed back in 1/29 has finally been assigned to someone. We're cautiously optimistic, but could use your good thoughts/show of support!
I’m losing my patience
