No IM from twitter, is it fixed?
I'm not getting any IMs on my device. I understand you've had problems but aren't they fixed by now. I can't sit at the computer all day Twittering I'm on the go.

Twitter announced that it would take IM down on May 23. I guess they want to see if keeping it unavailable will help stabilize the system overall.

Inappropriate?Yeah that's what I have heard as well - they still have the message up on the twitter page home - for users.
In addition I noticed today that they have reduced some other features as well such as being able to see "previous" tweets. -
Inappropriate?Thankfully, we now have confirmation on our home pages that both IM and paging through Older tweets will be back. I for one am really looking forward to getting IM back.

Fwiw, I've lately been using http://ping.fm to update Twitter via Gchat. In case you're interested, the invite code is currently "dreamofping" (no quotes). -
mdy, unfortunately that beta invite code seems to no longer work! Too bad; I was excited to try ping.fm.

Inappropriate?Hi ruben. Yes, unfortunately, IM is still offline, which means that people who are trying to add their IM are not able to verify it.
To save people the frustration of trying to figure out why they can't verify their IM, Twitter has temporarily removed the 'add IM' form from the http://twitter.com/devices page
