No Search Capability - Can't Add New Followers!!
Is there a way to add people to follow without search? My search is down and has been for days!!! It seems the search function has been a real problem for many. Without it, what good is it?

Inappropriate?Hello. I don't know when User Search will be back up, but while it's unavailable, you may find one or more of find these alternatives helpful.
1. If you're searching by topics that are being tweeted, then Twitter Search at http://search.twitter.com should fit the bill.
2. if you're interested in searching for people by location, a service like http://twitterlocal.net might help
3. There's also a third-party service called Twitdir at http://twitdir.com, which tries to provide features similar to User Search (though I don't know if it's regularly updated)
4. Lastly, if you're looking for new people to follow based on their profession or topics of interests, you may want to check out http://twitterpacks.pbwiki.com -

Hello. Twitter Search hasn't been integrated with the main Twitter website yet. It exists on a separate URL, which is http://search.twitter.com -

Inappropriate?Hello. Looks like it will be a while before User Search comes back.
There's a blogpost on Twitter's Status Blog that says:
People search disabled
We’ve had to disable person search; it was being abused in ways that were detrimental to the overall stability of the service. We hope to bring out a more stable (and better) version but not in the short term.
In the meantime, you can still find folks you know on Twitter by importing your address book (note that we don’t store your username and password and won’t email you or your contacts without permission).
