No SMS updates with VerizonWirelsss for a week!
Help! I'm not sure why, but as of last Wednesday, I can't seem to receive twitter messages. I'm on the Verizon network, and I called them. They didn't even know what Twitter was, so there's no block or anything on the phone. So they believe the issue is with Twitter.
I can receive messages via the website, but nothing's going to my phone. I checked and I'm apparently receiving other messages (non-tweets) from everyone; but no tweets. According to my twitter account, I should be receiving the messages to my phone; but I'm not. I have no way to block messages from Twitter (that I can find). My hubby also has a twitter account and he's on verizon wireless (through his work, so it's two separate accounts) and he's having the same issue

We are still working on this problem. The problem is that the issue is happening with the providers we use to deliver SMS and not with the Twitter service itself. This makes it harder to resolve but we are on it.

I really wish I could give you better news. But for the moment, we can only work through a solution with our sms provider because the problem is not

* Any comments or observations: I used to receive updates and post tweets successfully from my phone. I never changed phones, but all of a sudden my tweets stopped posting. I still received updates however. Now, I deleted my number and tried to re-verify, but it won't verify my phone anymore, so I get no updates and can't post from my phone. I have an LG EnV3.

This started to occur when I changed cell phone numbers with Verizon. So, I had to put a new number in and verify, but never verified. I have premium text messaged blocked but even so, Twitter used to work because iti s free, right? Anyway, Verizon claims it is still considered premuium, at least the rep I talked with. They SAID they were working on it, but I never heard back. It still does not work. By the way, I used TwitPic and can send a message there with no problem. Weird. Verizon just doesnt (all of the sudden) like 40404

Inappropriate?Since I tried to verify a day after the hack attack on Twitter, I waited a few days then tried to verify my phone using the short code (40404), I gave up and tried the long code (+44 762 4801423). That did the trick.

Inappropriate?Today Oct 3 I have all of a sudden become unable to send updates through sms (40404) but still recieving. Phone was verified and working fine for months, haven't changed numbers or anything. Tried to delete my device, and verify again but all messages sent show with red 'x' and the message reports 'general problems'. This is with blackberry storm on Verizon network in US.

It's real sporadic as far as which tweets come in and which ones don't. As if they are just chosen at random.

* I emailed and got a reply, but when I checked on my support ticket it said it had been deleted. I JUST switched to Verizon today and this is frustrating!
