Non-twitterers following protected accounts?
If you protect your account, can people who aren't on twitter still follow you if they text your name to the twitter number?

Inappropriate?The answer is no. If you have a protected account, attempts to follow you become "Follower Requests" that you can either accept or deny. If you do not accept and do not deny, it just stays in limbo as a follower request.
The person who tried to follow you will only see your updates if you've accepted the follower request.
