Not receiving mobile updates on my Telus phone! :(
Not receiving mobile updates on Telus. I can send messages just fine, i activated my phone no problem, and i'm receiving all other text messages, just none from twitter. I've tried everything reccomended in the forum, up to and including deactivating and reactivating my phone with twitter. Anyone know if this is a problem with Telus or Twitter or what is going on?

Inappropriate? Are you by any chance in Canada?
It seems there were reports earlier of people having trouble getting Twitter updates through Telus Canada. See this related thread for details. -
Inappropriate?I am in Canada, but unfortunately there's nothing helpful in that thread. Thank you, anyways, for it. I'm going to try contacting Telus directly after class and find out if they're blocking them... anyone know what number they are sent from, by Twitter?
I’m still frustrated

Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem. It's great to know I'm not the only one but it doesn't really help!

Inappropriate?HelenMcilroy:
Am I correct in assuming you're in Canada (Twitter SMS text number: 21212)?
There is a common problem which affects all Canadian phone providers and Twitter (click here).
If you contact Twitter with the information they ask for in that link, they will complete your setup manually.
I’m hopeful that Twitter can fix this for you.

Inappropriate?I e-mailed Twitter with the requested information and now I receive *most* of my Twitter updates. Not all, but most I'd say. Definitely worth an e-mail to them though.

Inappropriate?Twitter has disabled outgoing SMS updates in Canada. I am personally using http://www.tweetbymail.com to receive txt msg updates in Canada. (I'm on the Bell network, but it should work fine for Telus too)
I’m happy
