Page Load / Network Error: Connection Closed by Remote Server

For the past two days, many of my attempts to access Twitter have been met with Page Load errors, including "Network Error: Connection Closed by Remote Server" or a network time out. There seems to be a problem with Twitter's overloaded servers.

I couldn't post here about it earlier, because I received Page Load errors for this site as well. I tested other internet sites and did not have a problem.

Twitter has grown rapidly the past few months. The election is upcoming. I am concerned they do not have enough servers to handle the traffic.

Today and yesterday, I have had trouble accessing my Home page (my timeline) and my Profile. I have had trouble viewing others' / friends' Twitter pages and in receiving updates. At times my timeline would go quiet, as in I would not receive updates when I clicked to refresh the page (I suspect I was missing tweets, or others were having trouble accessing twitter also), and at other times I would get a page load error.

Please tell me Twitter is working on this. Although the problem has been intermittent, for the most part, at least for me, Twitter has been down for most of the past 24 hours, and has been acting up for the past 48 hours.
