Point new users to a special n00bie page
I think a lot of people come to Twitter and get perplexed about how to get started. I particularly think that more consumer-oriented (read: not geeky) folks just don't understand how it works. At all.
When you come to the unlogged-in home page for Twitter, there are some great "What, Why, How" explanations, or you can go and "Watch a Video" that explains Twitter (amazing video, BTW), but perhaps this could be more explicit or fun (e.g., "Twitter Explained with Stick Figures"). Or, perhaps a special n00b page could be set up that explains Twitter?
If you did want to go that route, I think that w00t does it very well with a simple link that says, "Hi. Are you new? Start here." That's where I went the first time I went to w00t.

Excellent! 8-) Now is there any way we can make it easy (and preferably inevitable) for Newbies to find your Guide *before* they lose their way? Perhaps persuade Rick Sanchez to promote it?
