Problem with link posts
I tried to post recently a message that included a weblink at the end (total message size 141 char with the weblink). instead of automatically converting the link to a tinyurl or just shortening the link in the finished post, I was prohibited from posting (pushed "update" and no post occurred). What's up / what am I doing wrong?

Inappropriate?Twitter won't let you post if you've more than 140 characters in the 'tweet box'. If your message is longer, you need to cut it down to size first.
Twitter is a little buggy in that it doesn't apply TinyURL to long links before it counts the total characters.
There are various free tools available which let you shorten a link before you post it - see eg. my post about is.gd.
