I have protected updates on. Why must I follow those who I allow to follow me? If I accept a new follower request, I am automatically following that person, but I don't want to.

Inappropriate?This is one of the primary reasons that I've become so indifferent to using twitter much now. I am following about 5 people that I did not request to follow although they requested to follow me.
This makes twitter so much more less fun. I'm disappointed in this aspect and it keeps me away from the site altogether.
