Request for follower won't go away, even after choosing "block"

I received an email for a friend (A) who wishes to follow me (protected updated) and when i click the link it shows a request for a different user (B). It does simply not matter what i choose since the request from person B will not go away. Even not after an hour of waiting and when i choose "block user B". This seems to be a serious bug since there is no other way for me to get a list of people who want to follow me.
