Restore process has me in an infinite loop. I want to restore a freshly (3 days) deleted account.

Why can't I restore my Twitter account after receiving 3 "Restore" emails from Twitter over the last few days? Whenever I click on the link in the Restore email, I am taken to http://www.twitter.com/home. Upon logging in, I get taken to the "Your account is being deleted" page with the option to "Reconsider" by submitting my username or email addy. It's an infinite loop. ARGH! Please help.
