Sad and confused - Twitter account suspended

Came back from vacation to find my Twitter account suspended. I'm a secretary - not a spammer. What did I do wrong? I Googled and found that a lot of suspended accounts used TweetLater, so I stopped my TweetLater service. Thought it was a timesaver, but not if my account gets suspended. Do you think Twitter will forgive and reinstate me?
