I have received an extremely dissapointing email from T-Mobile's office of the president explaining that they reserve the right to filter third party services and that Twitter will no longer be accesible from T-Mobile. I posted the full email on my blog:

Inappropriate?i've sent a number of messages including HELP and it's still not working. so here's that info:
1. USA, Beaver, PA
2. 856.524.0878
3. T-Mobile
4. 8.24 pm on 12/13/07
5. boejucci, joseph.b.bucci@gmail.com
thanks for your help.
I’m feeling a little better.

Inappropriate?Im having this problem as well. It seems to affect EVERYONE I know on T-Mobile and doesnt seem to affect anyone on any other service.
I am on T-Mobile in the Washington D.C. market and have a BlackBerry Peal.
I’m ticked
-
Inappropriate? This has been going on for 2.5 days for me. I am currently on the phone with T-Mobile and they are saying that they arent seeing any specific problems with 40404. They confirmed an issue with SMS in the Washington D.C. market but I was told the issues I'm having with twitter seem outside of the description of those issues. Currently I am on hold and they are checking with customer relations to see if there is anything known.
-
Inappropriate?I too am having this issue for nearly 3 days now like the people above. I use a sidekickII with T-Mobile in Portland, OR USA.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Just to add some more information to this issue, this is something that I have had happen multiple times while using AIM via SMS.... I'd be in mid conversation and then all of a sudden I would start getting these errors but was still able to receive messages from them. Of course, those times never lasted more than an hour or two unlike this issue which has been 2 days.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Official response from T-Mobile: "Twitter is a third party service that we do not have a contract with and our system caught up to the bug"
No joke.... according to the rep I am talking to right now. I've given the Net Neutrality lecture which this is specifically violating.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?I have wrote a blog entry regarding this incident. I encourage all T-Mobile customers to read it and call in and voice their concerns because this is an outright violation of net neutrality based on the information that I was given tonight.
http://blog.bibleboy.org/2007/12/t-mo...
The rep I spoke with opened a Voice Form with the ID of 0623630 and she said anyone can feel free to reference that if they call or email in.
There is also an email address to mail: rbotson@t-mobile.com

Inappropriate?Tmobile told me they do not support short codes that are not in agreement with their service. Please help us Twitter.
I’m pissed off
-
Inappropriate?Apparently the email address I was given is not valid..... making me even more upset. Anyone have an email address for this rbotson guy? Until then, I guess we just email customer service.
-
Inappropriate?Ok, apparently I misheard the rep.... the email address is rdotson@t-mobile.com
Found this page: http://consumerist.com/consumer/phone...
I sent an email to both rdotson and robert.dotson and both worked (I imagine one is more public and one is more private) -
Inappropriate?I need Twitter to have a new official response to this. I'm a T-Mobile customer in Los Angeles using a Treo 680, and I am only receiving SMS updates intermittently and I cannot send from my phone at all. My fiancee has the same phone and service and is having the same problem.
I’m vexed
-
Inappropriate? As far as the "short code" response from T-Mobile, Google SMS still works fine for me and other T-Mobile users I know, so that's b.s.. Unless, of course, T-Mobile has a partnership / "contract" with Google???
This stinks.
I’m disappointed
-
Inappropriate?Same here. I'm a T-mobile Sidekick user (in NY) and have been getting sporadic Twitter SMS messages for the past two days. And periodic "service is temporarily unavailable" messages when I try to send commands and/or messages to 40404.
I’m fed-up
-
Inappropriate? It's happening to me too - T-mobile Dash user in NYC...40404 no longer works to send Twitter messages by SMS.
I’m nonplussed
-
Inappropriate?Ditto. T-mobile user in Denver, CO via MDA2 (windows mobile 5.0)
This is especially frustrating, since I've just signed up to twitter, now my 1st interaction with it is an error msg that apparently affects me because I use t-mobile. 1st I can't get an iPhone, now I can't use twitter.
Guess I'll have to use Jaiku instead.
I’m disappointed

Very frustrating.

-
Inappropriate?Would it be possible for you guys to send an update via @twitter_status .... us t-mobile customers have had this issue for 3 days now and since we are still able to receive SMS it would be good to let everyone know you are working on it.

Inappropriate?bblboy54: I notice that there is also a T-Mobile topic on this very same subject. Would you mind posting the same information there? I think it would help increase its visibility, and if anyone wants to join in by clicking "I have this problem, too" it will also increase the problem's visibility. Perhaps we can boost our way to an answer:
http://getsatisfaction.com/tmobile/to...
I’m sorry to hear about your legalese answer
-
Inappropriate?I posted a new thread under twitter with T-Mobile in the subject.

The link you gave is actually for T-Mobile.

Inappropriate?Crystal,
I am so glad to hear that this has been resolved. We're still working out our system for marking problems solved without "closing" the topic. As a matter of curating, would you mind if we unchecked multiple "official" responses and perhaps have a single, official response that states the resolution? I think other Twitter users might get a lot of benefit out of being able to identify a "problem solved" post that explains the resolution and wraps things up in a neat package. Sound doable?
I’m happy things are working.
-
Inappropriate?I'm having this problem too! Is there any way to get it resolved?
-
Inappropriate?the way that i solved my problem was get in touch with aaron ( support@twttr.com ) i explain to him my issue and he answered me back helping me to solved it. he and crystal were very helpful. just write them now !
-
Inappropriate?Ok, I've been a Twitter user since March 2009 and all of a sudden about 2 weeks ago, I cannot send sms tweets from T-Mobile to Twitter. What the hell?
I’m sad
