Solution to twitter SPAM
There are people on twitter following thousands of users and being followed by only a few. It seems that this guys just want to abuse the notification email sent to users when followed with the intention of driving traffic to their websites.
This could be discouraged if twitter simply includes their Bio and Stats on the notification email. With that information, I would know if it is worthy of my attention.

Inappropriate?Well goto your "settings" (Top of page right side)
Then look for "Notices"
Then uncheck the:
"New Follower Emails: [ ] Email when someone starts following me
I’m Happy to help

Inappropriate?Thank you, but there is a difference when someone is just trying to lead you to a landing page vs. someone who really wants to connect with you. The email message is OK. The problem is that it is being *abused*. On the other hand, if you know who is following you (Bio & Stats), then you would pick who to check out and eventually follow, creating a mutual relationship.
I’m optimistic that twitter will "follow" this

You are sent to (Bio & Stats) on twitter, Then you would pick if you want to follow this user, creating a mutual relationship. To goto the landing page of the user it would take two clicks if they list there link. - and how would you start a relationship with anyone if you don't start to follow them first? - I would say you are right if the same user would remove you from there follow list then add you back to there list over and over again. Then that would be *abuse* of the system. -
I don't disagree with what you say, but in my particular point of view, knowing beforehand with Bio and Stats data from the email I would certainly be sure when to click on the "delete email" button. No need to do anything more. What I am proposing is for *this* particular course of action. Yes, if you want to enter in a relationship, then you would visit their twitter timeline and then you would follow them.
On the other hand, I am not proposing that twitter enforce any direct method under their control. This would still be under the control of the individual user, and hence, the community. What I am only asking is for more information on the email notification. Then let each user decide on their own. -
Inappropriate?I see what you are saying. More information in the email would an easy programming change
I’m seeing there point
