Some of my received direct messages have disappeared
Why did some of my received direct messages disappear? They all happened to be from the same follower. My sent messages to the same person also disappeared.

Inappropriate?Hello. Direct messages are shared by the sender and the recipient.
This means that if the sender of a direct message deletes a DM from her Sent tab, the same message is also deleted from the recipient's Inbox Tab. The reverse also holds true. If you delete a DM from your inbox, it is also deleted from the sender's Sent tab.
