Spammer Hell: fake people, fake followers.

Hi twitter crew. I know it might be hard for you to keep under control everyone that signs up to twitter everyday, but the thing is: I used to have my updates private for a long time to avoid spammers, though I always wanted to keep it public. So, I decided to give it a try, and once i released my timeline, I got TONS of new followers, and guess what: most of them were spammers, and just a few were actual people. It makes me so mad to know you don't have a better solution for controlling this plague. I love twitter, and I really wanted this problem to be solved. Think about it. I'm sure I ain't the only one who's suffering.
I'm attaching a screenshot showing just SOME of the new "followers" I got: the ones that came by the time I set my timeline to public. There are MANY more. :/ You doubt? just take a look at my followers list.
